DESIGN RWMF & BORNEO JAZZ PROMO ARTWORK AND WIN PRIZES

by RihanNa (bukan Nama Sebenar) Did you guys know that Sarawak Tourism Board is looking for aspiring art designers among the public to help create the look for the Rainforest World Music Festival and Borneo Jazz? The winning design will be used to re-brand the 2014 festivals in promotional materials. Which is cool right? All the promo material will use the winning design, which will be used as promotional materials. What STB really looking for is to refresh the whole thing. It means they want a  new interpretation for RWMF and Borneo Jazz. the current artwork has been used for the past 3 years anyway. It is now time for something new. Agree? by RihanNa (bukan Nama Sebenar) This would be my second trip to Indonesia. it was short. it was sweet. nothing more can describe the Business trip i had for 8 days in these two area of Indonesia.i have met few people that left very sweet moments in my heart.i didnt even have time to talk about my first trip. but it was so-so. the only part i enjoy is when i was in Bandung. you know right?it is shopping time.. =) Anyway, being first time to Balikpapan, my first impression was like.... it is a very big city and clean. altho the Airport or what they called Bandara is a bit small but, the experience being there that count. Agree? i traveled from Miri at 6.20am and only arrive at Balikpapan that day at 8pm something. yeah. a very tiring trip i can say. but when Mbak Sophia from ELC greeted me at the arrival, I was happy to finally  talk to someone. my mouth felt numb.lol. the next day, i have to travel from Balikpapan to Samarinda by road. i know right. it took me 3 hours j

The award ceremony was held last weekend at 2013 World Travel Market (WTM), the leading global event for the travel industry. At the ceremony, the award was handed over to Datuk Amar Abang Zohari Tun Openg, Sarawak’s Minister of Housing & Tourism by Andrew Starbucks, Managing Director of The Great Projects UK. FIRST WELSH BAND AT RAINFOREST WORLD MUSIC FESTIVAL

by RihanNa (bukan Nama Sebenar) CARDIFF, Wales, 27 October -  For the first time in the history of the Rainforest World Music Festival, a Welsh band will be featured at the 17th edition of this internationally acclaimed event to be held in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia on the island of Borneo from the 20th to 22nd June 2014. Sarawak Tourism Board, Malaysia Major Events and MABON jointly announced this at the World Music Expo (WOMEX) 2013 currently being held in Cardiff, Wales. The band is delighted to accept this invitation which tops off a remarkable year of shows across Europe and precedes the band’s headline ‘Taith ADRE Tour’ across Wales in November. Jamie Smith, MABON’s composer and accordionist states: “Being invited to this festival is a great honour for the band, its status as one of the great festivals in the world is already well known. We certainly look forward to performing to a completely new audience and making many new friends in a different part of the world”
