I am sure a lot of people are anxiously waiting for these 3 great events every year. Some may want to be part of it and some may just want to enjoy the great music that every year STB bring us for. I myself could not help to be in the Borneo Jazz 2014 and Asia Music Festival. Of course  part of the reason why only these two is because it is in Miri where I work and live. For those of you who are interested to be music instruments shleppers or liaison officer for the performing artist can just register respectively on RWMF website at RWMF2014 , Borneo Jazz website BJF2014 and Asia Music Festival Website AMF2014 . Image
by RihanNa (bukan Nama Sebenar) Did you guys know that Sarawak Tourism Board is looking for aspiring art designers among the public to help create the look for the Rainforest World Music Festival and Borneo Jazz? The winning design will be used to re-brand the 2014 festivals in promotional materials. Which is cool right? All the promo material will use the winning design, which will be used as promotional materials. What STB really looking for is to refresh the whole thing. It means they want a  new interpretation for RWMF and Borneo Jazz. the current artwork has been used for the past 3 years anyway. It is now time for something new. Agree? Gina Moor, STB internship student showing the previous design artwork of RWMF, which has been used for the past 3 years. "The design competition provides the opportunity to excite and challenge not only professional art & design communities but also members of the public (amateur or students) to showcase their talent and to wi

Day 2 of Asia Music Festival 2013 ( Hope and Appreciation)

Image
by RihanNa (bukan Nama Sebenar) On 5th Oct 2013, STB were expecting people to come and fill up the Eastwood Floating stage. its 4 o Clock and we yet to see crowds gather. there were only few people standing and sitting at the tables provided. Well, at least most of the table are filled. The first performer of the day was the Mountain Band. Consist of 5 Kelabit members, this band really put me in country mood. the even sang 1 or 2 kelabit song that day. and i remember Ozzy and Datu Rashid Khan danced Poco2 while they are performing. Their music is that fun. Melissa Francis come next. To be honest, I never listen to MF songs. I listen to iban/dayak songs but not hers. But she is that good. I can put her at the same standard as Jaclyn Victor and Alyah. really. she sang most Iban song that day.And her only Malay song is 'Hujan'. i love that song. and another song that became my fav is Perening. Perening means 'look'/ look at me. i was amaz
