Zee Avi Homecoming Concert 2012

it was Thursday 5th July when I received BBM from LadybirdMolly,

she said i was selected again by SWKblogs to be a rep for Zee Avi homecoming concert at indoor stadium on Saturday.

i was at that time needing a good music to relax from the past few weeks of hell..

so its said, that i am going for Zee Avi concert. yippee...

 you can see the purple tag up here is the official tag for Zee Avi concert. its 6.30pm . yes i am early...(semengat orang sarawak namanya)

 i was early so i took a shot at the stage. while waiting for for Joe , i loitered outside the stadium with Cik Leen (bukan nama sebenar).

When Joe came, we wait for Mark (rep from STB ) to get our tag from him.while waiting, Datuk Haji Talip Zulpilip arrived at the main entrance. it was a slow nite i can say. but people are starting to filled up the stadium as we twitted about it.

some of the audiences purposely wait outside the stadium. they only went in after Zee Avi session started. anyway, they might have missed some good music and fun earlier..

 first performance was from the band that called themselves Lozenges. they play quite pleasant music i can say. not bad from a young talent from Curtin Sarawak Music Club. (selling Curtin Hard). some of their originals are, New Mexico, Still Believe, Bruises and Crossroads. (the first song i didnt have the chance to listen as i am still outside waiting for Mark, so blame Mark...lol)

 

Next was a group female band who call themselves the Starlets, combination of siblings and nieces. consist of 1 guitaris (hot mama), 1 on keyboard, and 4 vocalist. nice intro from them, singing Goyang Inul. they really make the audiences mood goes up as the first performance by Lozenges was quite sentimental i guess. anyway, i still enjoy Lozenges music.

 they preformed Goyang Inul (as i mentioned earlier), Stupid Cupid, Mercy, I love Rock n Roll, Seksis by Anita Srwk, Cari Jodoh (Wali Band Song), Hot & Cold and Proud Mary. Quite a selection ya? indeed. they really rock the house yaww... Hot Mama was dancing down stage towards the end of their performances. She really have the energy. as i was enjoying the performances, my LG Hp was draining out. yaikkksss... cant take pic of Zee Avi later. ok ok... relax.. save me battery. must!!!

with me Blackberry, i can only tweet and imagine. huhuh..

anyway, i have stolen few pica from Joe for your eyegasm. enjoy..

this guy really know how to play sape. i should have learn how to play but i didnt. huhuhu

she wore few sarawak traditional accessories . and she is proud of it.

According to Mark, she sang 13 songs that nite. among the songs that she sang was, the book of Morris Johnson, sik boh kitak nangis, kantoi, bitter heart, anchor, honeybee, mee kolok sigek, roll your head in the sun and the one i like the most is concrete wall. and because of that, i bought Zee Avi's original 2nd album entitled Ghostbirds.(i never listen to other songs of her's, only bitter heart and kantoi. that is it. terok am i?)

And......there we are, with the tired face still manage to put up some smile for the camera. Thank you Sarawak Blogger for the 2nd opportunity, and i only manage to post it up after 1 week. sigh. what ever it is, i am thankful for this opportunity.
