by RihanNa (bukan Nama Sebenar)
ok. to start off, i have to say, i will definitely come again next year to see what STB offer for our eargasm. hopefully it would be at par or bypass whatever they have for us this time around.
i am now live at Media Centre Lambir room at Parkcity Everly Hotel Miri, was trying to find time since yesterday to post up some of the best thing happening around Borneo Jazz 2012.
people who were not here (Borneo jazz 2012) would be in a total loss as being a first timer myself, i really enjoy the music that this Borneo jazz Festival bring for us.
Moving on to the first performance, i am proud to say that these boys are coming from Malaysia, they call them self as FVE project which stands for Funky Virus Experimental Project. which comprises of mixed college and university students. yah..that's what i call Funky & Experimental. anyway, i am not a fan of Jazz myself but i would be crazy to say that i am not enjoying any of their performance. They are SUPERB!!!...oh btw, one of the band boys are from Indonesia. =)
Second performance was by Nita Aartsen and the band from Indonesia. Nita is an Indonesia pianist and musician. When she plays the piano, you will definitely amaze on how fast her finger can be and how good the music she produce. talking about been amaze, i was looking at Mas Adi, the one who played Tabla and stuff, he is amazing too... and funny...=) bump into him this morning on my way to press conference with the last nite performers.
Next was the SLIXS from Germany. owh...this group? SUPER SUPER AMAZING........they are doing this acapella mixes of Jazz. and the audience goes wooooooowwwwwwww.........yeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaa... like.. you know...amaze by their performance....it is truly amazing performance...owh 1 thing forget to mentioned is that, they taught the audiences their language called steudadanyanyos..lol...weird no? SUPERB performance.
Next was this group called New Cool Collective from Netherlands, hmm....ok...this group has been together for about 19 years. so basically they have been travel around the world and performing Jazz all over the world. No question bout their performance right. me? errr.... i have to say they are good musician, however, maybe just not my kind of music arrangement that i would like to hear. you know, different people have different kind of taste right?
ok. here i have some info on today's performance. we have SMK Chung Hua Miri Marching Band performing at 6pm today at the 2nd day of Borneo Jazz festival 2012. support SMK Chung Hua Miri everyone.
Tangora (France), Tropic Green (Singapore), Koh Mr Saxman (Thailand), and Schalk Joubert's 3 continents Sextet will be performing tonight. you can expect the madness tonight. come and see to experience yourself!!!!
here i share some of the crazy pic from my not so professional cam.
